Technical Systems Understanding: Basic Knowledge of Electrical Systems: Diploma or equivalent for the positions. At least 2 years in similar field 2 years valid driving license
Install telecommunication cables, including in trenches and difficult-to-reach places Inspect and repair fiber optic cables and other types of cables Protect optical fiber from the elements and keep clean Create networking plans, including layout, installation and testing
Cable Installation: Experience in installing fiber optic cables in various environments, including indoor, outdoor, and aerial. Network Protocols and Standards: Familiarity with network protocols and telecommunications standards, essential for designing and maintaining fiber optic networks. OTDR Theory and Skills: Understanding and using Optical Time Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) for measuring fiber cable length, loss, and locating faults
